Arctic Blast...continued

We are now day 12 with snow, which has been the worst snow storm the Northwest has had in 40 years. FYI for those of you that don't know, Portland/Salem are not snow zone areas.

Here's a video of 1 of the 4 days we were at Uncle Justin's and Aunt Christina's house. The kids stayed out for hours sledding, snowboarding, and having snowball fights.

Arctic Blast 08

It's been a crazy week of weather up here in the Northwest. School has been canceled everyday and Christmas Break begins next week. The roads have been mad icy and temperatures have been as low as the teens. Remember, we do not live in snow country (i.e. Colorado or North Dakota) so this weather is crazy for us.

Our Christmas Tree

This year we broke tradition. Every year we have gone to the same tree farm but this year one of the boys' soccer teammates started selling from their tree farm. Every tree was only $16 bucks no matter the size and every tree was full - no Charlie Brown trees.

Church Christmas Presentations

Children's Christmas Choir!

All the cousins were in it together this year. Here are the boys' with their cousin Brenden and some friends waiting to start their first of three performances.

Thanksgiving 08

Thanksgiving at Darryl's parents. Mia got to celebrate her birthday a week early. She pretty much celebrated everyday until 4 days past her birthday.

Yummy Thanksgiving meal!

Payton made his own fruit Kabob.

Lola and Mia with their new robes.

4 Generations. We got to see Darryl's 94 year-old grandpa. He is an amazing example of a leaving a godly legacy, a prayer warrior at heart. He is a godly pillar for the Goltiao's. Thanks Grandpa.

Ice Ice Baby

Ice Skating down in California. This was the first time the kids' had gone ice skating and they loved it.

Uncle Stephen with baby cousin Ellie.

Mom and Mia - Uncle Stephen and Ellie.

The twins trying to race around the rink.

Seeing the Bandara's

We got to see the Bandara's again over Thanksgiving for a couple hours at some park off the freeway. We were on our way to Darryl's family in the Bay Area and the Bandara's were on their way to Medford from Phoenix.

Payton, Garrett, Austin, Mia, and Brooke.

Bunko Bunko Bunko

Shannon's bunko group. This is their 4th year together. God has worked amazing things in their group over the years. The babies in the picture are of Tera's twin girls. Their are 3 sets of twins in this group.

Twin Day

Mia and Anika on "Twin Day" at school. No need to put one of the boys since they get to go to school as twins everyday (no big deal).

Dirt Biking @ China Hat

Darryl got a chance to finally ride a few weeks ago. It's been about 10 years since he got on a dirtbike. They rode at China Hat outside of Bend - the largest trail riding park in Oregon.

Halloween 2008

Here we are getting ready to go trick or treating. Payton and I went as the "Blue Man" group, Mia decided last minute to go as a girl ghost, and Austin went as a Jedi for the 6th year in a row. Mia was supposed to be "Pinkalicious."

Pumpkin Carving

Here we are doing our annual pumpkin carving. Mia still wouldn't touch the pumpkin until it was finished because she said it stunk and was gross.
